The other side of the coin I would say is that the pitch has held up particularly well against mud and flood, if not ice.

yeah it as held up well considering the amount of snow we've had

at this stage of the season now the team should be allowed to train on the pitch the worst of the weather is surly over will be coming into spring soon

and if it helps the team to safety and a strong finish to the season well lets go for it!

It certainly has especially when you compare it to some of the pitches that you see when watching The Football League Show.
