Danny C rejoins shrimps

Well i was hoping we would bring somebody in on loan, maybe that still might happen either way Danny will give us another option up front and a different style of player to what we already have.

Its a opportunity for Danny to show he is worth a contract if not with us then with someone else, hopefully both Danny and the club will benefit.

Good to see him back if he can score a few goals and move us back up the table then it will have been a good move. :D

Somebody had a go for me saying this but hey ho 8-) Our 2 chosen forwards tomorrow will now know that they are under pressure for selection on Saturday. Hopefully this is is a kick up the arse that they need!

The journey will feel so much better tomorrow :D

I'd have been more surprised had he NOT signed.

Having seen a couple of games sat in the luxury of the Peter McG stand he is fully aware of what is missing. A partnership with either PJ (my preference) or with Jimmy could be just the tonic that we need. IF his instructions are to be nagging away all the time at the last defender it's going to put his opponent under constant pressure, something that we have never ever done for a long time. He and whoever he plays alongside MUST play as a partnership and work together NOT miles apart which is what currently happens.

Both DC and Hurst will be aware of each others games having played together at Carlisle?

Good signing I think. Let Carlton do all the hard work and have Jevons there to put in a good finish :D !

I think the main thing we're getting here is a player who has a point to prove, and he is in the right environment to do so where the fans are behind him.

Plus I imagine he actually cares about playing for this club and isn't just a mercenary.

Welcome back, Danny. Hopefully this will work out for the best. The interesting thing for me is what we go with if everyone is fit on Saturday. I would imagine that Danny will go straight into the team, but who does he partner with? I think tonight's going to be the all-important decider. If either of Jevons/Spencer score, I'd say they will be in the starting line-up. If it were me deciding, I would go with Spencer.

But, as CC quite rightly mentioned, they HAVE to play together! We will hopefully have Hurst and Wilson getting good balls in from the flanks and what we need right now is a partnership. Two strikers to play off each other and take their chances. Then we can hopefully get that confidence back.

Competition for places and additional pace? It can only be a good thing in my book.

welcome back to the family Danny, a player who is still young and hungry to prove himself, and a man who has worked so hard to get back to fitness. a deal where both parties have a massive opportunity, let's hope both take it with both hands ( or feet in this case)

Let's just get behind the lad wether we think it's the right move or not. Show him some support on the field and on hear because we know he will be reading this. I have a feeling he will want to be the hero again and i think he can do it. Go on Danny lad bang em in for fun, you have my vote!

Danny will add a lot more than just scoring goals, He can win penalties like the best of em, he creates space for his attacking partners with his runs, makes deffences play deeper and deffends from the front.

And I dont think his passion for morecambe can be questioned

I think this is a great move.

I think that will be really good for Jevons, since he feeds of getting good balls played to him so he can grab some goals. Also, Jevons seems alot happier when he's scoring. I remember at the end of last season at the presentations evening after he'd scored 19 goals he seemed really happy to be staying!

Pretty much exactly what I was going to write. It gives us a whole new dimension and because defenders will be playing deeper, because they will be concerned about his pace, it will enable our slower players to be pushing on further. I am not convinced he will score a huge amount, but I think other players will now. All of a sudden, we're not as predictable as we've previously been.

I can't see DC changing our fortunes. Worth a go though.

I just hope he's discovered how to stay on side!
