I'd be ecstatic with a 1-1 draw on the road. It's our home form which has to be a massive cause for concern.

I would be pleased with anything other than a loss. Our away form has always been crap, it was our home form that put us in the play offs last year. That was the Christie Park form though, not the Globe form :(

A repeat scoreline of Lincoln for me I'm afraid, 0-2. God forbid it becomes reality ........

Praying and praying for a draw though, I'd be happy with that.

Respect to anyone who is able to travel down there on a Tuesday night.

Just realised that we went 6 games without a win earlier in the season and then went to Southend away expecting nothing and getting...

You will score, I have no doubt about that. We've kept one clean sheet in over two months, and every single member of the back five looks like they've got one costly mistake a game in them. Much like your very own Chris McCready. ;) How's he getting on now?

Going forward though, we have added Francis Laurent (French winger, very skilful pacy lad), Josh Walker (young centre mid on loan from Watford, exceptional range of passing and vision) and Shaun Harrad (you ought to know all about him ;) ) in January, to go alongside the likes of Leon McKenzie and Michael Jacobs, and we look very strong, in fact on our day we look frightening- it's only a fortnight ago that we hammered 6 goals past then-4th placed Crewe at Sixfields. If you have an off-day tomorrow like Crewe did it could be a hammering. If you can soak up the pressure and hit us on the break, you've got a chance of getting something from the game. It won't finish 0-0 though, I can guarantee you that. <Waits for game to finish 0-0...> 8-)

UTC if we play like we did at the weekend I have no doubt it will be a hammering, But hopefully we will have Wilson and Holdsworth back, and that will make us stronger at the back.
Having said that I still think you will beat us 2-1 :(. But we live in hope, that is why I'll be there,

To be honest I've been encouraged by the way we've played in the three 1-1 draws and, from reports of Saturday (I couldn't go), yes, we did give away one sloppy goal. Watching the other it's clear the lad did really well and you just have to give some credit to his skill (he also did well to make room for his shot on the first one but we could have defended more tightly).

Then it sounds like we created plenty of chances of which, on another day, we'd have taken two or three.

We know that in the absence of a sharp and scoring Jevons, we're one short up front but good things are happening elsewhere in the team and we are at least creating those chances.

But while we're not winning players always feel as if their luck will never change and I fear the Northampton game - they are in good form and look very dangerous - may have come at a bad time. Lose the first goal and it'll be difficult for our lads to raise themselves, especially away from home.

I fear something like 3-0 but this side has shown a capability to produce a shock or two after so-so runs of results before.

As Lils said - everyone's in it together and whatever the result tonight, we should let the players and staff know we're behind them at home on Saturday.

It's easy to support a team when they're doing well and - as optimist says in his 'bit of a mess' - thread, that's what we've been used to for all the time Sammy's been with us.

Now - just as much as him and the players need to do better (which everyone accepts) so do we as fans. We have a part to play in all this as well. It's our team and our job is to support it as well as we can.

That means giving our backing to every player who steps onto the pitch and to those in charge of guiding their tactics on matchdays.

We can have our thoughts and opinions and are right to express them in the bar, on the coach, or on here - but while they're playing, let's get behind them.

It's even more important now than it's been in many years - in fact in all the time a lot of fans have been watching the team.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!
