hMaybe everyones hiding at Christie Park ;)

It seems 1000 people seem to prefer to go shopping at the moment than come to the Globe.

The attendances are very worying at the moment and must be a big concern to the board of directors.

Could we go below 1500 on Tuesday?

They will all need a canoe, dinghy or at least waders to get there at this rate!

I've booked the RNLI hovercraft to pick you up at Redbank about 5.50.p.m Tuesday Mark!

Could get down to the days of early 2007 and 1100-1300 attendances soon

It will, and the reasons are clear to me.
Put yourself in the shoes of the "occasional" watcher. How many games this season at the Globe can you say were exciting to watch as a neutral?
Maybe the 5-0 win over Stockport, but that was such a bad night weather wise that I doubt any "occasionals" were there.
I know a few who haven't been since losing 4-1 at home to Bury in September. People want to be entertained, and for the casual fan, it just ain't happening at the moment IMO.

Yes but more importantly people want to watch a winning team challenging for honours.

Indeed, ask Arsene Wenger having been 4.0 up at half time

The thing is we are not providing entertainment or challenging for honours. I know a few that haven't been back due to what they described as poor facilities in the home end! There was quite a few murmurs of disapproval amongst the wet punters behind the stand at half time yesterday.

But if we were I'm sure people would put up with the less than satisfactory facilities in the home end.

The reality is that ours was the worst attended League 2 game yesterday!
And a few in Blue Square Premier were higher too.

On a day when Barnet and Accrington are Away and Macclesfield postponed, I don't think Bookies would be taking bets on that one!

I reckon that the average league attendance for this season is 2,319 after yesterday's match. How does that compare with the three previous seasons?

Of course, Bradford City are still to visit. Whilst the Bantams are struggling, the average will still be increased by that match.

This season was always going to be a blip due to the new Stadium where you would have expected Away fans to "tick" another box and Home fans with the incentive of the Play Offs last season combined with our "best ever squad on paper".

It was always going to dwindle during the winter months with the weather, extra Tuesday games from teams 4 hours away, the disappointments in our own facilities in the home end and the general lack of money in your pocket. Add all that to some of the results/performances and hey presto.

Still up :D
2010/11: 2,319
2009/10: 2,153
2008/09: 2,262

*Most websites now have our max attendance at 10k and therefore pushing the average up to 2900. Stupid error whoever made that now it is going to be wrong for years. Proof read :geek:

I don't know how accurate this site is....

http://www.european-football-statistics ... b/more.htm

but it goes back to 1980 for us. Only 400 per game when I started coming.
