The European Court say its ok for her to use a Greek satellite box to show Premiership games. She has got two more court decisions to win yet, but its a start.

excellent news and it's legal under EU trading standards, might now hopefully see SKY to drop there prices now instead of holding people to ransome

cant see how SKY can justifiably win this one unless they line peoples pockets in high places

This will end up working in Skys favour in the long run.

Also means Pubs will now be able to show Premier League games at 3pm on a Saturday more than likely so might knock a few off our gates.

Hope she wins.
Live horse racing seems to have survived for many a year.
It's prices at the gate that are affecting attendances.
£50M for Torres and £35M for whoever that nancy, unproven Geordie bloke is called is an absolute outrage, and an insult to the average football supporter.
Sky subscriptions, and the punter are paying for that

I'm sure I was in a bar at another ground where live Premiership soccer was being shown via a station based in the Middle East. Can't recall the name..... :?:

There are quite a few bars up and down that show the foreign video but the sound is from the radio or other source

Hate it.
You know it's a goal before the corner has been taken!
Silence is golden, especially if Beglin is commentating

I would have thought that we'd be used to watching live football in silence!

Why is it an insult and an outrage? It's up to punters whether or not they pay for it. If the demand wasn't there, then all this money wouldn't be flying around. You pays your money and you takes your choice... Obviously enough people think it's worth it to subscribe.

The reason that 3pm football is not shown on British TV is beacuse of it's effect on lower league attendances and grass root participation. The live horse racing comparison doesn't really work in that case.

As for prices, that's your opinion, not a fact.

Fair enough, and I hope that Saturday 3pm football is never shown live on the box

But there's got to be a reason. Watch attendances drop off again next season
