..and another one bites the dust?

..and another one bites the dust?

Looks as though the Port Vale manager could be the next to go if an emergency Board meeting called for tomorrow does what it is expected to do and sack their current manager.

The weekends failure v Macc which saw fans throw their season tickets onto the pitch in disgust as well as a demo v the players, manager and board appears to have sparked this reaction.

7 games into the season and already a possible 2 clubs in search of a quick fix. Disgusting in my opinion. Nobody should be judged on such a small number of games. By all means possibly after 12 but 7...?????????

Makes you wonder who will be next?

Unfortunately football managers are measured on results and Lee Sinnott's results/stats at Port Vale are not brilliant. They are a reasonably sized club batting in a lower division because of financial problems. 'If' they don't quickly improve they're heading for None League football next year as so many long established league clubs have done before them and as we all know, its not easy getting up or in there case, back up, just ask the mighty Oxford  I was one that said Buckley should not have been sacked at Grimsby but Sinnott is a different kettle of fish as Port Vale very quickly need to recover points. Or am I just saying this because Port Vales first win under Sinnott last season was when they knocked Morecambe out of the cup :x

Nobby's right. Port Vale's situation, in the longer term, is very different to the Grimsby one. Don't forget they did get relegated (financial issues didn't help but my acquaintance their way suggests they played poorly at the best of times). I don't think sacking him is a short term view. Port Vale need a fresh start and some new energy, whereas Grimsby were on a bad run remarkably similar to our own.

Didn't Perks sign for them during the summer?

Now let's suppose that the new manager feels that he's a shrimp....could he possibly become an 'on loan' Shrimp again?

:o :o :o

Hi Phil. I think Williams took over after they got promotion to the Championship - then there was a big clearout?

Yes CC Perks is certainly a Shrimp
