A player of his quality is wasted at Fleetwood. Surely he should be in our team. Has excelled when called on.

He hasn't played (1st team) since September. No point in him sitting it out, the cash (or the saving of it) will be useful to go towards these new lads.

Agreed, and he may come back an even better player, considering he needs games and we needed some new players, great deal!! IMO

At least he will get more first team football at Fleetwood. If he comes back match fit and ready to go into the side when needed then it's a win win situation.

If he has gone to get match fit, great, otherwise, not so great, one of our best defenders who hardly plays because of............ :?:

Looks like he may be straight in the side for the visit of FGR.

I think we've seen the last of Will Haining in a Morecambe shirt unless we pick up loads of injuries. This is a shame, I still believe that he is the best defender we have at the club, and also one of the better footballers. Unless you're Craig Stanley, when Sammy sends you to the naughty corner you aint coming back.

I fear that you are right....

One minute he was being talked of as 'pure class' and that we are lucky to have him; the next he was out of the picture.

Exactly. I seriously don't understand what's happened here. He played well against Barnet which I think was his last game. Both our centre backs have been totally crap recently. Why are we getting rid of our best defender at a time when we're leaking goals?

A bit harsh that.

If our midfielders offer no protection to the defence it isn't surprising that the defence feel overwhelmed at times and give away goals.

Last season it was the same. So we brought in Panther to offer some protection. This season I suspect it's new boy Holdsworth who will be asked to offer that protection. I've often thought that Drummy should play just in front of the back 4, but his form seems to have taken a dip of late and his position in the team could be under threat.

I don't think he's recovered from the mare he had in the stuffing at daggers in the play-offs

I think it goes a bit deeper than that. Other players have had bad games but remain in the team.

Drummond for example has been less than impressive for three weeks yet still cake walks into the team. Chris McCready had a mare against Crewe and suffered h embarrassment of being substituted after 20 minutes.

Interesting to note that Dave "Moose" Artell could be on his way out of Crewe. Not good enough according to their fan base. Is he on a two year deal down there?

Really I thought he was doing well there he had a cracking start to the season.

Yes they gave him 2 years.

I just noticed that he hadn't been in the team for the last couple of wins, but I think he has picked up a calf injury.

A mate of mine said on Friday night that some Crewe fans don't rate him and that they are conceeding goals for fun. Probably nothing in it though, he did get rave reviews at the start o the season and had a steady enough game against us.

Conceding goals for fun maybe, they have conceded 35 which is just 2 less than we have. HOWEVER if you put 53 in at the other end you should be reasonably happy!

Seem to think it was similar for us last season when we were leaking goals but we had the ability to go back to the other end and score one more than them so to speak
