Feeling blue

Feeling blue

Postby seasonsinthesun » Sun Jan 23, 2011 9:34 am

Morecambe played in blue shirts at Stevenage, which set me wondering that I haven't seen blue shirts available in the club shop this season.
Many fans liked the blue shirts last season which was the main away shirt, and also the blue shirts are remembered from the promotion winning season in 2007.
I would think they would sell well in the shop.

We would probably sell a few but I am guessing the club would need to order 500 minimum. Can't see us shifting that many in half a season...

Capaldi did'nt have a named shirt. Obviously they had presumed he was too good for Morecambe and was going elsewhere before we played somebody away in red and white

We will no doubt need them again for Lincoln

I think we could have got away with red shirts and black shorts yesterday. The last two times we've shown up in blue we've not shown up, if you get my drift. I personally don't like the blue shirts, reminds me of our near and crap neighbours (at times in the last two away days in blue, we've looked like the Dollies).

Isn't it about time we had a yellow away top? With red & blue (eg Aldershit) and red & white (eg the gImps) teams in league two we are always going to need a thrid kit. Unless we draw Galatasaray (what a name, too many A's) we should be safe with the yellow alternative.

I agree RRW, it would be great to see a yellow shirt. Maybe modelled by Colin Hendry, well done to him by the way.

At the Gala Draw, they said the Blue shirt would not be going on sale this season, as there are only 3 games I think they said we would be wearing them in.

I would like to see an all black strip, where I think our new badge would look good against a black shirt, quite a few teams have come to the Globe and worn black shirts or slight variations, would prefer that to yellow, don't particularly like the white away shirt.
In fact, I would like the home kit for next season to be all red, which we have worn at some away games.
