When a bigger club (or company) want you or one of your assets and are offering good money then you take it.
If a multi national distribution company decided to buy you out (or even Northern Print Distribution
) you'd take the money....wouldn't you?
and neil it all depended on how much I was offered to be honest!!!
trouble is, it wasn't a great analogy. A better one would be that a massive distribution company sees what you've done and like it. You reckoned a year ago that the value of the company was £250,000. The big company offer to buy you out for £120,000. Naturally, you say no. So then they make it clear they are coming for you and will throw whatever resources it takes to put you out of business. You know you can't compete with them and that in eight months time, your company will be worthless. Then the big organisation will just hoover up all your business for free. The only reason they are prepared to pay you anything right now is to avoid the risk of another big company coming in in eight months time to grab a slice.
Now you are faced with a decision of take a cut price offer of £120,000 or go down grumbling about how unfair it all is? Either way, in eight months time, you'll have no business.
So would you cash in now?
