Just been announced he's caretaker manager at Deane Court.
Is he the most expensive player to have graced Crusty Pie?

He's about £14,000,000 short of that target, possibly more!

My guess would be Diego Forlan who had a £17.5 million transfer. I *think* he scored a hat-trick at Christie Park in a reserve match.

I can remember Dwight Yorke standing loitering without intent on Christie in a pair of gold football boots and he must have gone for quite a tidy sum over the years.
