Sammy and the team have unfortunately been substandard this season, however we shouldn't be making rash decisions when we presumably don't have any alternatives. i was very surprised after th eport vale performance bu tthen weve had three weeks break and i think it told on the two sides thought accy defended very well today edwards in particular

that 6 wins out of the last7 for accrington in these encounters...sadly

We weren't great today no but sacking Sammy mid-season would do more harm than good. He deserves at least the end of the season and then see where we are. We will not be relegated, I guarantee it. Just signed a long contract at Acci. Besides, why do people think he'd want to leave Accrington? One of the most secure manager's jobs in English football. They could go down (not that I think they will) and he'd still be a god in east Lancashire. Yes he loves Morecambe but he's been at Stanley for longer than he was at Christie Park so he may actually love them too by now!

Well that list would surely prove that sticking with the manager that you have through the difficult times usually pays off. The top seven have all had a good degree of success relative to their position in the football world.
