Let's rearrange the deckchairs. PNE are a sinking ship, what makes it sweeter is that all their rivals are in decent shape. Horrible, horrible club. Horrible, horrible 'city'. I'd love it if we met PNE in a league game, sheep shagging bankers with a W.

Darren Ferguson did a decent job when money was no object at Peterborough, but he has still to prove himself on an even palying-field. He got the nod over more credible candidates (including our own manager). He couldn't deliver in a tight league where he held the trump card of having a famous father (perhaps one of the main reasons he was given the job in the first place). Preston fans have to be amongst the most jumped up going, thinking that they deserve to be big time because they were double winners when Queen Victoria ruled the roost. I read today on BBC sport that many fans think that Sam Allerdyce as the next manger is a realistic appointment for them in the short-term (presumably until somebody better comes along). Really???? Touted as the national coach one minute, to managing a mid-table league one side the next.

But who was REALLY in charge at Peterboro...???

For me it was the man behind the scenes....Barry Fry.

Wasn't it him who instigated the move for Joe in the first place?

Ferguson was no more than a figure head who lived off the reputation of his father. When put into the 'real world' he just couldn't cut it.

It was certainly Barry Fry calling the shots when Steve Bleasdale was manager there !!!!

They should repeat that "Big Ron Manager" programme sometime !!

Eddie Howe is bookies favourite for Burnley. I think these Championship Clubs just look at who is in charge at the top few in L1 and L2. This one certainly is Cherry picking
