Game off? Not much chance of that happening now with all the snow and ice gone and the mild (for this time of year) tepratures forcast for the rest of the week.

As usual against us Stanley will scrap for every ball, harry us every time we get the ball and chase all lost causes. Most of their players will also have their game of the season!

There's become a certain inevitability about these fixtures home and away. We need to do the same to them right from the start and if we do then we can definitely beat them.

2-1 Morecambe.

It has to happen some time, so 2-0, i don't care how we do it just as long as we beat them.

They always seem to raise their game against us while we oblige by doing the opposite, its high time that we stopped donating six points to them every season.

We need to play our part as well by giving them maximum support, in all parts of the ground.

For once I'm not bothered how we play just so long as we get 3 points and go above that lot in the league!

Can't see there being that many there although with not playing for a few weeks and it being new years day so not much else on in the way of entertainment in the area could add a few more to the gate.

Just had a surge of optimism after posting on the Accy Next? thread yesterday. Assuming Sammy is still in charge and not going to Preston or Brumley...my new prediction is

Morecambe 2 Accrington 0
Jevons (2 pens)

3,210

we haven't beaten them since september of 2005, every run of results has to end some time, so I'll go for a mighty 1-0 win for the shrimps. don't care who scores, could go in a-la- wayne curtis as york as far as I'm concerned. would be nice to batter them though.

Expecting a very heavy sodden pitch, which wont help our slick passing game, so 1-2 to the up'n'at um bully boys from down't'road :( :(

Accrington come to us looking to win, we're at home happy to draw. If/when we decide to go out and look for a win in every game, we may actually begin picking up points, home and away. Usually by this time of year Sammy Mac has decided to go out to win games and we'd start playing entertaining football. He's in danger of leaving it too late to recover this season.

So how did that work out then?
