Nothing but he'll take time to get back to fitness ( 1 to 2 moths?). Wasn't a regular up to his injury and in my opinion offers nothing more than what we've already got. And we need to get rid of players to bring in better ones as out manager has often said. Hard on the guy but we need to bring in quality and that will require expenditure.

I could ask the same of some on here 'what's wrong with Capaldi?'....other defenders have been responsible for goals in his absence. Do we have a go at them? No!

Nobody will be leaving unless someone comes in for them - the club won't pay up Rundles 2 year contract or the rest of Shukers one year contract and definitely not Jevons 2 year contract which is a ridiculous suggestion. Capaldi should definitely go though as his is up.

I would expect Brown and Charnock to extend their deals and would like Spencer to stay for the rest of the season. We can forgot the likes of Zola who are well out of our budget but I'm sure Sammy will find someone suitable.

A more realistic look on this...

Ins:
Charnock (I think he has done enough to make us want him permanently, but it depends on the budget)
Brown (I think Sammy likes him and he's produced some good goals from midfield)
Plus the possibility of a striker (but who is anyone's guess!), and a left back if Wilson goes.

Outs:
Capaldi (end of contract)
Wilson (if the rumours are true)
Hendrie (On loan to BSP)

The only one I'm unsure on is whether Sammy will extend the loan of Jimmy Spencer. He's played him a few times (with a couple of decent performances) but has stated that he isn't ready yet. So it's hard one to guess.

Who I would like to see:
Febian Brandy (ex Man U) - not sure he wants to play at this level, depends if Sammy could tempt him if only for his pace.
Andy Robinson (ex Leeds) - again, not sure if he would, but has the experience down the left-hand side.
Calvin Zola (Crewe) - we are a club nearer to him (with, I believe, people who travel up from around there for training/matches) so it could be a possibility, but probably a slim outside chance.

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what happens!

Brandy this is interesting one i already said what i needed to say about him yesterday.

Robinson is on a trial at oldham

zola - crewe 4th choice center forward and even if we got him then what loose spencer choice spencer on loan rest of season or calvin zola if crewe wants him gone this player is turning down clubs personally why not zola drop down another league into conference join barrow or fleetwood?

That's the one!

As for Brandy:

"He's very direct and all about pace and running at players"

So can't see him coming here

http://www.redcafe.net/f40/febian-brandy-152932/

Do you have an preference as to the standard you are looking at, are you thinking 'I want to play at this or that level'?

I'd like to stay with a Premier League club, I had an invitation to Toronto in the MLS at the end of June and a few Championship clubs have expressed an interest so right now I'm open minded as to where my next challenge will be.

"Yet on Saturday Crewe were equally vulnerable to the tireless running and hold-up work of strike duo George Donnelly and Wes Fletcher."

And, at Stockport, they're probably not getting the kind of service our midfielders could provide.

Both on loan - one (at least) would be available to sign, I reckon.

Get 'em while they're hot!

apparently Donnelly hasn't been receiving his pay from Plymouth despite Stockport paying the invoices rendered for his loan.

I think this means he could walk free from Plymouth.

He would be a top signing for us and he's Irish :o :o :o

Obviously the fact Brandy hasn't be snapped up could cause some question. But it may be the fact he was offered Contracts by teams in league 1,2 and rejected them because he felt he could be playing at a higher level. But with him being without a club and at mid-point in the season i feel that he may be wanting to get back into football. He will turn out to be one of those, "If only players" 4 caps with england under 20's... I think offering him a short term deal with the promise of some regular football and training to improve his fitness.

Interesting!

However I would expect him to be high on the Stockport 'wanted' list and the fact that he's already there COULD put them in pole position.

Isn't there a striker that Sammy once wanted who looks to be on his way out at Aberdeen? Not sure who of the two would fit in our style of play.

So we hear, but Sammy said only a few weeks ago that he couldn't bring anybody into our club until we shipped some out and this was way after Moss had gone. Then out of the blue Charnock appears.

It could be of course that his wages are being funded by Torquay in the interim and then when January comes around, we compensate Torquay for their actions. After all he's made it pretty clear that he wants to return North to his Preston base. No point in having an unhappy player in the camp.

Stockport are having problems that's common knowledge. Just depends what their interpretation of 'mess' means........?????????

Wainwright (loan to Barrow)

In -
Charnock (permanent deal - 2 year contract)
A striker in his 20's with pace and good work rate.

he has been without a contract since he left Man Utd on 30 June 2010 so he isn't in a strong bargaining position.

why has no-one snapped him up , has he been injured ?

Brandy has signed for Notts County
