Was watching the ITV Championship program this morning, who said Grimsby hadn't won in 13 matches - anyone else nervous that they won't make it 14?

Hopefully we might just wreak revenge for those defeats at CP!

After being branded 'negative' by the bulk of SVs in recent days :o , I'd like to say that it's to the credit of our Board who have always taken the long term view in the case of managerial appointments over the last decade or so that even when times have been rough that we haven't followed the path of recent examples and made changes in the management structure.

Losing a manager can often spur a team on, though it didn't work out that way for Newcastle. It's usually the first game of a manager's reign when you get the performance. So let's hope they don't appoint someone by the end of the working week ;)

Yes, look at Port Vale last season. We beat them in the JPT not long after their manager was sacked, and were beaten in the FA Cup just after Lee Sinnott was appointed. Of course, it isn't always going to be the case!

To be honest i dont really care about the situation at Grimsby the only thing i care about is taking them to the cleaners on Saturday and getting 3 points and keep our own run going and move ourselves up towards mid table..... They have only scored 2 goals this season so there confidence will be rock bottom so we need to go for the jugular from the start and put them on the back foot and complete there bad week with 3 big points for the mighty shrimps

Yes we all want 3 points for the Shrimps on Saturday I think that is the one thing on this board we all agree on. HOWEver it is important to keep up with the situations occuring around us particularly as we play Grimsby this week, even though you personally "don't really care" about their situation ;)

alright lads, mariner in peace :)

the messageboard you have put a link to isn't all that good and would suggest having a look on
the fishy messageboard

http://www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl

Here in Grimsby there is mixed reaction to his sacking but personally i feel that after not winning a league game since march and only scoring two goals this season a decision had to be made, but he will always be a Town legend for his achievements in previous spells with the club!

Just hope the players can pick themselves up on saturday, we have been playing fairly well, but for individual mistakes and not taking our chances.

looks like you haven't gotten off to the best of starts either so it should be a close game :)

all the best for the rest of the season (after saturday ofcourse) and i look forward to my 3rd visit at CP.

Nice one. We are at Lincoln next week but i won't be going the 160 miles by bike!

I also predict 2-1 but to the Mighty Shrimps :!:
