I would love to see him play the rest of the season for us. Unfortunately I don't think we could afford him to be honest.

I saw this last night on SSN and was going to post it, but forgot.

Watched him a couple of seasons ago at Leeds. Absolutely ran the show.

Probably got too much pace, he'd have no one to pass to.

ANOTHER 30+ player....no thanks!

We need some hungry younger ones who want to progress their careers using us at a catalyst.

Andy Parrish was 20 when we signed him

Laurence wilson was 22

Carl Baker was 24

Mark Duffy was 23

Barry Roche was 26 (very young for a keeper)

One player for each year, not bad. Should we go over Harvey's list? Most were brought through in their teens or very early twenties.

Lets see what happenes with Gavin Clark, he is a player that should definitely be given a chance.

yes but the Conference is undeniably a lower standard and therefore it is far easier to blood a young player in there. Sammy rightly wants to preserve our hard won league status and unless any of the youth team are outstanding and from the ones I have seen in the reserves only young Cowperthwaite looks remotely near enough to risk in league 2.

Jim Harvey wasn't all for youth , and some of them were real turkeys that we had to pay off early i.e. Chris Lightfoot, Alan Morgan , Chris Lane , Andy Gouck , Sean O'Connor , Dean Howell , Adam Solitt etc etc , not much youth there !

Lets not get into a war stating all the donkeys each manager has signed and all the gems they have signed.

I could make a list just like you did from Mcilroy, but I don't want to argue. Fact of the matter is we NEED a striker and NEED a right back. Whether these are in his magical 'three' in January, time will tell.

yes I agree with you there !

centre forward

right back with real pace who can cross and defend

winger with pace who scores goals
