After last nights carry on in the Carling Cup I think the Aston Villa fans will increase these figures somewhat. I bet William and Becks are cringeing around that Zurich table this morning when they see the headlines

And if hundreds of Birmingham fans hadnt invaded the pitch and ran towards the Villa fans none of the trouble that was shown on tv would have happened

Mad that. Still, nothing compared to what's going to go off at the Stanley game! I jest of course... Do you remember that time they came to Christie quite a few years ago on boxing day or new years day and loads of muppets in aquascutem caps came up in to the North Stand kicking off? They got boomed on to the pitch. Comical. I think we won the game too!

I think they were Leeds United or Burnley if I remember rightly.

Whoever they were, their match had been called off.

(I nearly said fans then.)

Yeah they're mad the Grimsby lot... I'd say a lot of those bans will be from the last day of the season when they were relegated at Burton.

Burnley.

If I wasn't mistaken at the time, a "local" landlord was filming it from the road side of the North stand.

What is annoying is there are a few teams in League 2 with over 20 on banning orders and they actually travel to Morecambe knowing full well they cant get in. Their police who travel with them very rarely let the local publicans know who they are and they can wander around unhindered trying to find Morecambe lads to fight. These are not choirboys and some are Cat C England nutters.
Our lads who have been on banning orders - non for fighting - cant go within 1 mile of the ground and are usually discouraged from traveling - could our police and club safety officer maybe try to address this next week when we have Port Vale????

Port Vale have a pretty big mob i remember them coming into the chieftain last year or the year before a good 40 odd of them they call themselves the VLF

i was on my own at the bar in the chieftain and they came over wanting to know asking for a mobile number to save my arse, i blagged em all that Morecambe's firm were already down queen street looking for them so off they went then i did one got in a taxi to the match

the thing what got me with em am 40yrs old and nearly all of them were as old or older than me, you'd think they'd have grown up by now
