Bloody hell Hodgie! Why not keep hold of it anyway for the midweek games and occasional Saturday? Or are 09016 wind-up phone numbers?

wagner was class last night, briliant,

bare ben is a legend, pays in week in week out, very funny

essex shrimp is not my creation though i wish he was.

yesterday, the 1400 or so locals got what we are due, a dire performance by a bunch of well meaning lads who are paid nearly a grand a week each for providing me and my son with a total pile of shit, we could have been 4 down by half time, we are like a failed mk dons, coleman was at the game yesterday and i heared him say, i would not touch it with a barge pole, before you even think about typing, bear in mind that i am a bloke that one way or another, puts 50 quid a week into our town team and am entitled to be effed off

Fair play!

What would be particularly concerning as seen by your simple maths which shows that the on field days simply don't pay the wages.

If the 1700 that turn up all put their 50 quid a week in you have an income of 8500 which using your maths pays for about 8 players wages. Most people won't pay the 50 quid like you do and those that get close will only do it once every 2 weeks!

This is where the so called prawn sandwich brigade and off field income is making up the shortfall. As has been said it is a shame that the fans feel they are being short changed but the longer we are served up with unsexy football the lower the turnout will be.

3500 tickets sold for the England game BTW.

If 1700 people were paying £50 per week that would be £85,000 and we would have Kaka playing for us

:o Business man?
£50 * 1700 = £85000

Other than that yeah, I'd agree about the prawn sandwich brigade.

The main stand earns more revenue in a single match than the other stands all season.

Shall I arrange these for you for the Port Vale game Mick , or are you having prawns sandwiches like the rest of us?

Shall have to check my calculations as to how many 50 quids I have budgeted for
