Shrimps to win but it won't be 4-3.

Sammy will be working on stopping Arts scoring from set pieces and also how to expose his weaknesses in defence.

His weakness is his pace, so we won't be able to take advantage there! I would think there will be a few balls in the car park by 5 o'clock

It will be interesting to see Artell playing AGAINST Morecambe, won't it?
Do you think he'll get a wonderful ovation from the Morecambe fans?

Arts should get a good reception from the Shrimps fans.

3 years good service, more goals than a good number of midfielders have scored for us. We offered him a 1 year deal and Crewe offered him 2 years. No-one can blame him for taking a 2 year deal at a club nearer his home.

Can't imagine that happening if his stepover (airshot) in the Lincoln box last week is anything to go by.

Morecambe 3 Crewe 2
Jevons 2
Fleming

2,377

I will give Artell a polite clap when he goes on the field. That is as far as my appreciation can stretch.

Of course he will. He gave everything every time he played for us and if he'd been offered a decent deal to stay he'd have done so gladly. I think the club had another lad lined up who ended up being offered more elsewhere by which time Arts had, himself, got a better offer nearer home.

No hard feelings, one of those things.

when I watched Sharps playing for Shrewsbury against us I didnt think we had missed much. IMHO Chris McCready is a better defender and a better footballer.

I hope Morecambe can win, we may be bottom by the time this game kicks off. Sammy must start with Spencer and jevons up front, and Fleming again. I also hope Duffy is fit.
Morecambe 3 - 2 Crewe....

We can't be bottom by the time we play Crewe. 2 of the teams below us play each other. Also some of the others below us are away to top teams.

David Artell should get a very warm welcome from the whole of The Globe on Saturday during the warm up etc. Much has been discussed on here about his presence being missing in our squad since his departure, but we move on of course, and once the match starts it is all about Morecambe, and nothing else !!!

Going to be a tough one (of course), I think another score draw, maybe 2-2.

Attendance, 2645 (with around 400 from Super Dario Land !!)

Be interesting to see if Sammy changes the system on Saturday. Got a feeling he might at some point to cope with their pace. Crewe are either brilliant and free scoring or dire and rudderless. Hope it's the latter.

He might for another reason also.

On Saturday with Mullers the target man we hit long high balls too many times. When he went off (even though he won a lot in the air and linked with others well, as he always does) we seemed more intent on playing the ball to feet and looked better as a result.

Maybe he'll see Spencer and Jevons, and midfielders playing the ball to feet, as a better option against big Arts?

Hands up those that think Moose will score. He will be really pumped up to show his ex employers what they have missed. Hope we don't give too many corners away 8-)
