I think you have just got the the root of the problem. It's the supervisor with his suit, clip board and silly rules that puts pressure on the stewards to take action when it isn't needed just so he can write some figures on a piece of paper which show the stewards are doing their job. But I ask the question, aren't stewards supposed to be friendly and helpful members of staff who only become physical when there is need for it? Also, the young Asian steward who overstepped the mark has a little bit of sympathy from me! Yes you heard me right, I believe it is the structure in place that cause him to act in the way he did. He is a young member of an old team and should never have been put in that position by his older more expericenced team mates. The really sad thing is, the steward in question may get sacked yet the rules will stay the same and the supervisor will return next week with a new suit. Disgraceful

I was the one thrown out, I'll admit it was out of order but the steward who got escorted out pushed me so I pushed him back end of. Been totally blown out of proportion.

Fair enough. You didn't do anything wrong you were only standing your ground.

Fair play, you should not have pushed the steward, but why were they bothering trying to get the fans to sit down with 10 minutes of the match left? Completely out of order and not needed. There were only 218 Morecambe fans there, yet we seemed to have more stewards than the rest of the ground put together. :x

I'm usually quite critical of the minor skirmishes and silly incidents that have seen the odd (and it usually is the odd both in number of times this happens in a season and the mentality of the individuals who are ejected) that get thrown out of Morecambe games on the road. I just don't see the need for it; it belies rational thought and application on most occasions.

However, yesterday it was completely different. The Bradford stewards were instigating the problems that happened by the way they were handling the situation. They caused more trouble and safety issues by steaming in and pushing past people in order to confiscate a drum that they had initially let into the ground in the first place. It just goes to show how good the stewards are at our club, when they can safely marshal 1,500 Bradford away fans yet Bradford struggle to control around 50ish out of 200 from Morecambe. I'm still bemused at what is so offensive about a drum anyway?

Great support from the fans yesterday, certainly felt and sounded that there was many more than 218 of us there. Hopefully improved form on the road will see our travelling numbers swell, you can tell by way that the players came across to the fans at the end of the game they certainly appreciate our presence there.

I couldn't be there yesturday, sounds like the stewards at other clubs bottled it again. I was at Notts County last season, which was an absolute joke. Glad to hear we made lot's of noise, onwards and upwards :)

Notts County wasn't a joke, unless you got caught. The way they sin-binned persistent offenders was brilliant.

I was in the press box over the other side (you can see it in this photo) and we could hear the Morecambe fans loud and clear throughout the game - great support!

Not sure about our support at the Southend game as it was the only game missed for me this season, but I felt the passion returned during the Bury game. Something clicked into place during that game, both on the terraces and on the field.

Yesterday both players and fans gave it 100%, and it felt very, very, VERY GOOD :D

I think you'll find it was, hence why the steward got sacked after all the complaints!
