Will we have a team that will actually turn up? Can't see Premiership Clubs wanting to release their players from Premiership duty for 6 weeks in the middle of the season

Maybe the winter break is well and truly possible. Premier League v FIFA could be interesting

I prsnally think a trial should be given in order to test a no offside rule as there are too many wrong decisions made with the current law

The guy standing against him this time doesn't have a hope as it will be a done deal for Platini to take over in 2015, and I don't think much of him either since he started as UEFA president.

So will he win the one man election today ? Can't see Prince William changing anything. Very democratic!

FIFA couldn't care less about those countries especially "little Ireland" as Blatter referred to them as. The thing is this has hardly made the news in other countries as they're simply not interested in the politics. If you go to marca.com (Spain's main sporting newspaper) they don't even mention Blatter and the story regarding the elections is a tiny headline right at the bottom of a very long page.

FIFA is too big to pull out of and money is too important. If we pulled out we wouldn't be able to play international matches so Wembley wouldn't be paid off and our economy would suffer come the Euro's as England wouldn't be there.

There's one reason why Blatter and his cronies are corrupt and in it to make money, it's because they can. FIFA control everything.

Would a break away international football organisation be possible? Would it come down to getting enough domestic football authorities behind it or would it be dependant on getting enough commercial "partners" and sponsership deals?

If it does happen and we get a rebel organisation, what would you like to be done differently?

As much as FIFA are full of corrupt money grabbing so and so's, they have expanded the game to all corners of the world and made the World Cup a fantastic spectacle. I for one couldn't imagine a World Cup without the big teams. Even if a break away organisation created they're own not all teams would follow. Guaranteed Spain would stay to defend their title so a break away tournament has already lost any respectability.

FIFA need to get rid of the suits and stop the excessive bidding process. £30m for a failed World Cup bid? What a waste of money and that's just 1 of however many of the countries bidding.

I think World Cups have got worse and worse over previous years. With every one that goes by its more and more like a month long advert for adidas, McDonalds, Budweiser etc. Most of the tickets going to sponsors and people being thrown out the ground for wearing clothing that has non-sponsor brands on. Thanks but no thanks. The World Cup these days is aimed at middle class Asians/Orientals who wear face paint to matches and love David Beckham.

The commercialisation is a fair point and one I agree with but in footballing terms it's much better. The expansion to 32 teams and allowing more African and Asian to qualify has got to be a huge positive but sadly Blatter seems to have manipulated these nations into gaining votes for elections.

The Euros are better than the World Cup, much higher standard.... Just get UEFA to bring Brazil and Argentina onboard...FO the 3rd world, jobs a good-un. If Israel can win the Eurovision song contest then this can be done.

Failing that England should follow Scotland’s lead and never play at another international tournament again!!!
