IF the country get the nod for the 2018 World Cup, maybe the club and the Midland Hotel could put in a joint bid to provide both accomodation and training facilities for one of the country's playing in the North region.

The Midland has superb facilites matched only by our own Arena which has everything avaialble on site: All weather Training facilities, Gym, Catering, Adminstration facilities plus the ability to 'close down' the stadium for security reasons if needed so that the players could train in safety.

Basically everything a training complex should provide in one location.

Maybe a wild idea but maybe worth looking into?

:) :) :)

Euro 96 Czechoslovakia stayed here. https://www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/trave ... ott-hotel/
My mate got a shirt off a certain Pavel Nedved, who was at Sparta Prague at the time. His performance in Euro 96 alerted Lazio and the rest is history.

They played a friendly at Bamber Bridge too that I went to.

They won 9-0 as I recall. Pavel Srnicek the ex-Newcastle 'keeper played. Think Poborsky may have done too.

I never knew there was a large Fijian community in Rochdale.
