Was in a bar this evening (about 24 degrees C, 22.00hrs Cyprus time - sorry guys) and was talking to a UK business man about his business philosophies. One thing that he said was that he always tried to win and found that by doing that he actually was succesful in most cases. He talked about a friend of his in a similar line of business who tried never to lose and he was not as succesful.

It struck me that this could be applied to football. If you try to score more goals than the opposition (to win) then if you succeed you will win things. If you set out to concede fewer goals than the opposition (not to lose), the chances are that you will win nothing. ARE YOU LISTENING S.M. ??????????????? ;)
