Even at one up the home end was quiet today, dunno why, I was in the main stand and the lincoln fans were very loud even though heavily outnumbered, the twelth man advantage of the christie park north stand seems to have vanished, the team choose to kick towards the home end in the second half, today they kicked into apathy, our twelth man was missing, why

Sometimes the players need to make something happen to get the crowd going and the second half was shocking on the field.

I am convinced anyway the accousitics are far better in the away end when I have been in the PMG stand you can always hear the 200 or so away fans loud and clear compared to the home end.

Away fans are always constantly loud just like we are at away games, and only occasionly get drowned out by the odd home song (well the big (4/5000) ground home crowds anyway).

It's hard to get a song going when you spend most of the second half watching stray passes & balls coming out of the sky aimed loosely at Mullins dome.

IMO the home end should have been the Bay Radio Stand as the acoustics seem better and it looks like people get a better view as they are slightly higher up, or is that just an illusion?
The MBW stand would have been better as the away end.

Not much wrong with the home end IMO, there was only 2085 there today and the home end quiet because was a bit sparce & the game was shite.

Why do people think that the Bay Radio Stand has any better acoustics than the MBW Stand? They are identical bar half a dozen extra steps at the front.

The noise each stand makes is purely down to how many folk in there are shouting. We were poor today, so not surprising a 100 well chuffed Lincoln fans out sung us. Perhaps more home fans need to get behind the boys when things aren't going our way?

I'm not sure the acoustics in the Bay Radio end are any better to be honest.

I didn't hear their Air Raid Siren once !!!!!

Nothing to do with acoustics today, just nobody could be bothered singing. It was the same when we were 5-0 up against Stockport. Too many 'singers' moved over to the PMG stand perhaps?

Today Jack, was the first time (I can recall anyway) hearing at The Globe our famous chant,

"COME ON YOU REDS! COME ON YOU REDS! THE MORECAMBE (clap clap clap)"

There were not many games at Christie Park where the roof was raised in the North Stand. In fact the vocal support at home whether it be at Christie Park or the Globe has been generally poor. But the fact is that a number of fans who used to help get the atmosphere going in the North Stand, now sit in the PMG Stand and this has not helped matters. All the North Stand stalwarts who now sit in the PMG Stand should make the effort to stand in the MBW Stand against Crewe to try and rekindle some of vocal support that seems to have gone missing.

And pay extra if they have PMG Stand season tickets? Can't see many being willing to do that, particularly in light of most home performances this season...
