NEW SCOREBOARD

The Shrimps will have something in common with Premiership and European clubs like Man. City, Celtic and Barcelona. The new scoreboard was constructed by North West company Scanlite based in Blackpool. Have a look. www.scanlite.co.uk It should be all singing all dancing. At 8 metres square it should be quite a feature.

Can't wait to see it on Saturday.

It sounds like an excellent feature which will be a fitting tribute to Chris.

Can't wait to see it it should look impressive up there on the community block and become a focal point for years to come.

I hope it has a clock/timer on it that counts down the 45 minuites although when your hanging on in the last 10 min you seem to spend more time watching the clock count down.

I think that the Fleetwood scoreboard was installed by the same company.

Sounds like it's going to be quite impresive just a bit worried we may not be able to see it from the MBW Stand.

I really hope this doesn't sound like I am being Mr.Picky, but it is not 8 metres square - that would be enormous !!! Being 8 square metres makes it about 13ft x 7ft, which is still a good size, don't get me wrong, but not as big as it sounds from the back of the home end.

I was told it was 7 metres some time ago and presumed that was the length? If you simply have "2.0" on it then reading it will be easy, but "welcome to The Globe, Gary is 30 today, here are the 2 teams in full, todays match sponsors are" might be a bit difficult to read

PS not slagging off the new board above, just getting it right - great gesture for the club.

Most scoreboards aren't as 'square' as that. My guess is the same as Morectalk's i.e. 13' long and 7' tall.

Sneeked a peek today while they were putting it up. Didn't see the screen (not up yet) but the bracket looked about 2.5-3M squared.

Can anyone get a picture tomorrow?

Ok now we are getting somewhere

If we have indeed established it's square it measures 2.83m by 2.83m

Whatever it will be a great tribute to Chris, one which I sure his family will look on with pride

Loved the new scoreboard, great to not have to look at my watch every few minutes.
Thankfully, no action replays yet of the goals, which would have sent some of us into a living hell today!

Didn't stop them looking at their watches on the touchline! The aggression and language from the away dugout was :o

Loved the scoreboard even better than I imagined and it has a clock :D

First 15mins flew by but the time sure didn't go slow after that at least I don't have to get mobile out every 30 secs to check the time.

In time are we able to make it more interactive things like the scorers name flahing up, birthday requests, scores from around the country etc ? or am I getting a bit ahead of myself there.
