We did play well enough. They had some good chances in the first half and Baz used his legs well
. They should have scored as the ball zipped across the goal line but their striker seemed to be frightened of nutting himself on the post. Although a boring 1st half from our point of view, we would certainly have taken the draw.
2nd half you expected them to come out blazing but it was us creating the chances early on and, as has been said, how their keeper picked the ball out of the air from Jev's free kick I will never know. With 20 minutes to go and buzzing all over them, we fell into our all to often trap of being pushed back and when their sub was introduced we just didn't react at all. Everyone round me was saying the same thing.
Inevitably they scored and just to rub salt in, it was their substitute who scored. This gave
them the opportunity to hang back and we pumelled them for 10 minutes and really Drummy will be kicking himself not to get that header on target. Our subs were then introduced but I felt it was all a bit rushed and it was too late by then I.M.O.
Great feed at Penkridge anyway, we shall return in 2 weeks
Must say the robins main stand reminds me very much of our old one, together with their Tardis
