Morecambe Player vs Cheltenham 06/11/10

Dear All

I regret to inform you that there will be no Player website commentary from Cheltenham tomorrow.
Cheltenham are one of only a couple of clubs that do not provide ISDN access to other clubs as a matter of course. The BBC do have ISDN boxes and would normally step in and help us as they kindly have in the past but they are unable to this weekend because they are at capacity.
We apologise for the inconvenience but unfortunately this is a situation that is out of our hands.

Quinny

Can we still get their commentary at least? Is this the case for both Cheltenham games because they are the two games I paid this months subscription for!

That is so poor!

Not your fault Quinny or Ockers but Cheltenham must be in the dark ages! It should be expected really if they cant even kep the floodlights on!

This is one game where Morecambe Player would have come into its own and had many listeners!

Tinpot club!

Hi all,

I'll be working Sean very hard, and there'll be plenty of updates on the show, as well as the usual excellent service from Quinny on t'other side.

We may have a special guest too summarising.

You won't miss out on the action either way!

Cheers,

Dave.

The game (audio) is available for everybody in the UK LIVE on the BBC website.
It will be provided by BBC Radio Gloucestershire with Mark Halliwell and Peter Matthews.

Just a reminder for you then-

"I get my faggots from Gloucester market and if any of you wish to come to my house for a meal on a (Cheltenham v Morecambe) match day I will cook you some PROPER & TRADITIONAL faggots."

The cider is good as well eh?

The current rules, last updated 01.08.10:

22.4 With effect from Season 2011/12 Clubs must provide either:

(a) a wireless access point accessible to all accredited media representatives attending the match; or

(b) a reasonable number of telephone lines available to accredited media representatives to meet demand.

22.5 ISDN Lines. With effect from Season 2011/12 each club should provide a level of access to ISDN lines to enable it to satisfactorily accommodate requests from The League's primary broadcasting partners, Independent Local Radio Stations (home and away) and club webmasters (home and away). This may involve the sharing of lines where appropriate.Access to ISDN Lines may be at no cost to the end user, through a hire charge (either from the club or a third party provider) or by the club providing broadcasters the opportunity to install their own facility. The provision of the above ISDN lines is in addition to those already installed by the BBC for their own use.Broadcasters must be provided suitable commentary positions in the immediate vicinity of the relevant ISDN line.

22.6 Media Room. With effect from Season 2011/12 Championship clubs must provide a dedicated room for post-match press arrangements. League 1 and League 2 clubs should provide a similar room or a dedicated area, which is under cover, where the post-match press conference/interviews can be conducted.

Doesn't look like they are breaking any rules, this season.
