PJ back to his best (or nearly)
4 4 2
All 11 outstanding but in particular Duffy (did I really type that :o ;) ) and Brown

A combination of the poor match vs Stevenage and the weather but no doubt against Lincoln the attendance will be back up to 2800. Great turnout by County fans, shame they're in for a long season.

I got chatting to a few County fans walking home last night.

Well sound lads they were and their support deserves better fare than they are getting on the pitch right now. None too impressed with Paul Simpson.

Never thought I would hear the day Morecambe fans were complaining about 2000+ attendance!

We were always going to struggle to get much above 2K with the monsoon coming down like it did and Man Utd being on TV. I know Philja for one bottled the walk to the ground!

Could not imagine missing a game if I was available and in the area to watch it. Never in a world would I.

Our 1200 dieharders are a credit!

1200??? Think the attendance will be back up for the Lincoln game.

Made an effort fella but it was a bit of a washout.
Headed down to Trimpell and there were huge pools of standing water blocking the back snicket up to Westgate.
Couldn't be @rsed to wade through or walk the long way round so headed home to dry off & listen to Glen's updates on the Bay (which were ace btw).

I'll wear me wellies next time..

;)

Yes I still think, even with attendances above 2.5 and 3k, that we have about 1200 dieharders (maybe 1300) week in week out. The rest come to 'some' games or are dragged along. Or stay in and watch Man U etc.

It would have been 2,006 if you'd pulled your finger out and made an effort Aspers! ;)

I know a couple of my mates cried off prior to the match, a culmination of poor performances and tropical monsoon conditions. I echo dedicated-private-plates-tattooed boys sentiments above, I'd never miss a match if I was otherwise available to attend. you would be pig sick if you purposely miss a display like last night after all the dross endured thus far. It made my usual 3 hour train journey seem all the more worthwhile.

I think given recent results and the awful weather it was quite good, anyone living near the shrimp roundabout please note that there is a bus that goes from the stop outside the westgate graveyard at 7.13 and gets you outside the globe at 7. 20, happy days :!:

1200? I wouldn't say there were 800 Stockport fans there last night. 500 max.

I hope all the stayaways from last night who didn't go because we've been playing "boring football" or it was "too wet" or their real team were on TV are kicking themselves at missing such a brilliant display. That's what you get for having faith!

Indeed. If you go by form and the strength of the last result you are dead meat.

This is M.F.C. expect the unexpected. You will then get drenched, win 5.0 even tho your most consistent player is suspended, your none performing striker will get a hat trick, your seat will be soaking and the players and management will have beaming smiles on their faces but don't get too carried away and think bigreddog might buy you a drink!

Surely the chap who travelled how many miles to see Morecambe FC and left at 4-0 to go to the pub over the road hasn't started a thread criticising home support? Nah that wouldn't happen would it Wayne ;)

At CP yes but this season? We have yet to have an attendance under 2,000 which for us is good. Hopefully we can keep it up for the season although we can't take anything for granted I think the Stockport game will give us at least a 2,000+ attendance for the Lincoln game. Would maybe get more fans in if we did more ticket deals say charge a certain price for 5 games of your choice although you have to be carfull with things like that because you have to keep season ticket holders happy, but saying that I'm a season ticket holder myself and don't mind if the boosts up attendances a bit.
