I've changed the title mate.

Probably shows my ignorance, but until I saw the article on Granada Reports tonight I really had no idea he had been Joe Mercer's assistant during that successful late 60's period.
A sign of my (not so) young(ish) age (well, compared to someone old enough to remember that period in City's history)

I do have an older than me City supporting mate who tells me a great story of City winning some match or other at Rotherham United to claim either a title or promotion in the late 60's...

Was young at the time but M.A. had a real aura about him. Remember his big hat and cigar, very flamboyant. Not many characters left like him in any walks of life

Just come back to me this, wasn't Malcolm the guy who signed (at the time) two of the most expensive ever players for City, when Million Pound transfers barriers had just been broken?

And they proved also to be 2 of City's biggest ever flops? Steve Daley and Kevin Reeves.

Having said that, it might have been John Bond who signed them. B*ll*cks. It's late .....
