On Radio Lancs just now Sammy said that Will Haining and Chris McCready are both likely to be fit for the weekend.
He also said he was still after a loan signing. What position will that be for and what names are in the frame ?

When is Andy Bishop coming Heysham_Shrimp? You said it was a done deal prior to the start of the season. Your sources are worse than Michel Roux Jrs!

Fletcher was on loan at Grimsby last year, when Burnley were a Prem side.

chatting to a fellow Morecambe fan today and looks like Haining and Mccready are going to be on the bench on Saturday I had the impression those to were out for 3-4 months?

A fellow Morecambe fan told me this today.

I knew he was a Morecambe fan had the jumper it looked mint I think Both center backs will be on the bench why because you never change a winning team in Sammy Mac's eye's .

Loan Signing why Calvin Zola We do not really Urgent another center forward that why he is on loan is because of he has fallen down the pecking list at Crewe yes.

We got

Mullin - Good start of the season keep it going
Fleming - Can play off the center forwards and pick the pieces up
Jevons - What is more to say when you see his goals last season and the passion he will want with his team and new stadium and goals with be out for this loving idea of Rundle and Duffy pace all along with wing's on match days.
Zola- Like I say only way he gets in is if the manager wants to play two center forwards and then it is done to Zola's attitdude

with tomorrows game the only positive change i would make with the team is i would swap Haining for Hunter in defence reasons as follows Haining is/as

1/ faster
2/ Stronger
3/ better aerial ability
4/ better defensive awareness
5/ and equally as comfortable on the ball as Hunter

Put simply, Haining IS a defender. Hunter is just filling in while we are short, and putting his heart and soul into it as usual.

As for Zola, I've been a little disappointed in his apparent indecision. He turned down Southend straight away - fair enough. But then Bradford suddenly don't want him (one wonders why) and then he appears to have a deal to go to Burton but pulls out at the last minute. Now he's linked to Shrewsbury.

It seems to me that he doesn't know where he wants to be. I have a funny feeling that, come January, he'll either be on the bench somewhere (as I doubt the likes of Shrewsbury really need him) or still down the pecking order at Crewe, having rejected several loan deals...

For all we know he may have been one of those who Sammy wanted to bring in.

With Burnley prepared to give first team squad players the chance of a loan elsewhere, maybw we could go after one of their redundant strikers?

Calvin Zola will not be leaving Crewe on loan before the weekend having held talks with League Two rivals Shrewsbury on Friday.

The striker, who has fallen out of favour with the Alex this season, spoke with Shrews boss Graham Turner but no agreement has been reached between the two parties and Zola returns to Gresty Road for the time being at least.

He is, however, still available on loan to Shrews and other interested parties, with Burton among several clubs also firmly interested in acquiring his services.

Zola will now be available for Crewe's League Two clash against Torquay on Saturday.
