That is the biggest load of b*****s I have ever read! Well done to John Owen for issuing a complaint, how Mr Dowse can disagree with those comments I will never know.

I don’t believe the stewards were aggressive and they had to deal with people turning on them in an aggressive manner
- Is he taking the Michael

An absolute joke, but he is hardly going to come out publically and do anything but look after his own. As for asking the Bradford fans behind the goal to sit down - yeah right  like that really happened !!

Did they actually attempt to get the home fans to sit down? There were about 10 stewards looking after 200 Morecambe fans, how many were in the Bradford end?

Who are they kidding? If their steward had acted appropriately then they would not have needed to have escort him from the stadium! There were no problems at all before they came up and started pushing their weight around.

It's interesting that one of the Bradford fans on their forum are suggesting the same steward has previously been involved in aggresive behaviour with away funs. Mr Dowse is just as pathetic as his club and I seriously hope they go down.

I saw one or two. The Stewards and the Bradford fans were stood next to each other at the back of the stand!!

In the second half some stewards were sent to make the home fans sit down. However, from what I could see, at least 10 home fans were stood up at any one time.

What annoys me most is the rules by which the stewards operate. Both sets of fans were stood up chanting and banging a drum, which is standard behaviour from a group of football fans. The usual banter was shared (in a relatively friendly way) and both sets of fans left the match having more respect for each other than the stewards!

What a joke!
I do hope they go down!
But.. it would be good if they stayed up so we can go back and beat them again!

That is if we dont get promoted of course ;)

Just found this

Code of conduct for drummers in the stadium (away section)

The role is intended to enhance the atmosphere at Bradford City FC home matches in the 2009/10 season. Away drummers are to be positioned only in the visitors section of the East (Midland Road) Stand. It should be recognised that all supporters do not like the use of drums at the stadium but the Club is trying to enable supporters to show their support for the team. This arrangement may be removed, without notice, if there is any breach of the following guidelines or the Club deem there is a lack of support for drumming in the ground at any time in the future.

In delivering the role, you will be required to:
• Use the drum to provide an improved atmosphere at the ground
• Liaise with the Area Supervisor on arrival at the ground to establish whether there are any special requirements for that particular match
• Use only the seat allocated as per your match ticket or as instructed by the Area Supervisor
• Gain the prior approval of the Stadium Control (via the Area Supervisor) if another person wishes to take over the drumming
• Comply with any requests from safety personnel, stewards or Police
• Ensure that the drum is not left unattended at any time or left in any area that may cause an obstruction or enable it to be misused by any other spectator
• Cease drumming immediately if it leads to persistent standing in any area of the ground
• Cease drumming immediately if any chanting that includes bad language or any racist elements starts in any area of the ground
• Cease drumming if it is considered that it is leading to increased movement by spectators in the South or other stands
• Support and comply with any initiatives of Bradford City Football Club and Football League to improve behaviour and enjoyment of spectators at matches

Can anybody hold their hand up and say it is likely that any of the above is going to happen AT A FOOTBALL MATCH :!:

I see Stadium MK was bereft of punters tonight, they are probably fed up with having their inflateables confiscated. It will be permission to fart next as the person next to you will be claiming personal air polution. It nearly happened on the bus back from Bradford

Only Bradford could have a code of conduct for away fans supporting their team

I have just been in contact with the author of that article at the Telegraph & Argus to provide an email response sent to me from Mr Dowse at Bradford City FC after an email of complaint. It slightly contradicts what has been said in the story. I think there could well be a follow up article!!!

I wonder if the document that our lad signed would stand up in a court of law? I very much doubt it.

However standing up is I believe an offence now in law.
