one of the reasons why morecambe struggle?

one of the reasons why morecambe struggle?

Postby ftm » Mon Sep 27, 2010 5:45 pm

seems to be a bit of a blame game going on with the supporters at the moment.

as an outsider iv always had my doubts over SM, but so what.

one of the real reasons why morecambe have struggled is the academy, or the lack of it.
there has been a string of local players playing for morecambe, which is proving that there is talent out there.

i know for a fact that there is a glut of young players, (and im not talking about 16,17,18), travelling from morecambe to the likes of preston, burnley, blackpool, upto three times a week, from the age of 6.

you may argue that the college/academy is going along smoothly, however let me tell you that there is nothing at the club to capture young boys and develop them.

the community coaching is set up and is in place but as far as im aware that is seperate to the club.

until you get this in place, you are always going to struggle bringing in good young boys through your system

this needs to be addressed ASAP. IN MY OPINION.

Have you actually looked at the league table. Say we take 4 points from the next two games, have a look at where that puts us.

You look at the league table this time last year and see where Barnet were, then look where they finished.

I've corrected your quote!
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
