Absolute fanatastic player and proven in this league, but last night he was poor. I really hope we see his true ability soon. Any thoughts on his performance last night?

I thought he played well, Especially some of the challenges he put on Carlisle (Their no5) dispite him being nearly twice as big as Shuker. It wasn't his best game but then again they were a class above.

As I said in the thread "Man of the Match" Shuker was a shocker IMO.

IMO nobody (maybe apart from McCready) performed brilliantly last night. As a team we were ok but it was all down to fight and desire. However i thought, although he also didnt shine too brightly, our one bright spark who looked like making something happen was Shuker. A Burnley fan on the way out said exactly the same thing to me and rated him highly.

I think once match fit and sharp, he will be tearing up L2 fullbacks as from the glimpses of what iv seen so far (ok poor against Rotherham) against two very decent fullbacks from the championship, he seems to have enough skill and ability to unlock most L2 defenses.

I thought he did well last night. He put some good balls in and made a right pest of himself. His crossing ability is somewhat lost however when he's trying to aim at Jevons who's being sandwiched between 2 monster centre backs like he was last night.

all this talk about Shuker and last nights performance playing on the left-wing out of position when he's obviously right footed

is dejavu and reminds me of a certain Niel Wainwright when he first came played well in pre-season on the right wing, then SM switched him to the left-wing at the start of that new season and poor Wainwright as had his critics ever since

Thought he did well last night, not as effective as he is on the right but still looked threatening at times.

Why not complain at the fact he was played out of position for a certain tactical reason, our left side was our strongest side, but it meant sacrificing some attacking ability. Everyone knows he's right footed but his defensive duties arn't as strong and eagles would have had even more of a field day on the left with shuker there, thought duffy helped back well!

Okay but do it quietly - don't want any gunshot noises to knock any more money off Mr Lambert's house value.

Okay, I'll make sure I don't make too much noise for Mr.Lambert.
Maybe tablets would be quieter than a gun. I'll leave some notes, one for my family, and one for Mark S to read out at the next home game v.Chesterfield.

So, do more of you agree with me now? I have already said that I don't thing Shuker is really up to it at this level, yesterday he was poor again.
The Shuker Shocker can only go one way for me, out of the club.

I'd agree with Neil, I think he's easily good enough to become a firm favourite before too long. I do think that a different system will bring out the best in him too. No need to panic yet!

yesterday he was switching flanks, and in my opinion i think Shuker does a good job on the right-wing and is a better crosser of the ball than Duffy

although Duffy is more direct and likes running at defenders

Shuker as played at higher level than league two and is a better player than he is showing at present..like a few others have said he will come good given time - getting on is back all the time will certainly not help him
