Jack Sampson on target yesterday for the Macc Lads v Grimsby Town - and Podge didn't score (might need a thread that one?)

Aaron Taylor scored on Saturday for Padiham away at Winsford United and on Monday away at Darwen.

Last years Reserve keeper (1 first team app after AA was sent off) Tom Stewart is now at Buxton and is playing for them tonight v Marine

Former Shrimp (1989-?) Ian Britton passed away today.

He made his name at Chelsea and also played at the Turf for Burnley.

Yes, 7 games in 1989/90 having been signed by Larry Milligan.

Saw him on Fishergate in Preston a few years ago looking a bit dishevelled.

He spotted my Morecambe jacket and we had a bit of a chat about those days he was with us.

Macclesfield's keeper was sent off tonight after 4 minutes.

Jack Sampson went in goal and kept a clean sheet for 86 minutes as the game finished 0-0
