Leif Davis back in favour at Leeds today. Named as a sub, didn't get on but obviously not out of the managers plans. Not bad for a former youth player of ours at a club on the verge of the Premiership.

Do we still stand to make anything from bonus payments?

Thommo's popularity isn't improving up at Workington. From their forum:

"If you ever need to know what rock bottom looks like. It is watching a 38 year old Gary Thompson trot around Borough Park for 90 minutes and be at least five yards off the pace. The Lancaster centre half will never (even if he has played in a local Sunday league) have had an easier game."

Could we see Mark Duffy in the Premier League? Maybe win the Championship too!

How many other Morecambe players have played in the Premier League?

Aaron McGowan scores in 90th minute to earn Hamilton a 3-3 draw and gets them a breathing space from relegation. He's been here before.

Er, do loan players count. Joe Lewis did for Cardiff. Can't think of any others.

Joe Lewis started the season as third choice keeper at Norwich and ended up sitting on the bench for Endland in Trinidad & Tobago!! Quite a change in fortunes for him once he starred for us! :D

Yes, we've had some star keepers on loan! Why do other teams send them to us, is it because they know they'll see plenty of action ;) ?

Incidentally on recent form Mark Halstead isn't far off the standard them two showed when they were here.

Totally agree. I hope it is a while before he features 'properly' in the "Former Shrimps Thread"!
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Which is why some of us voted for Mark as PoY.

Stuart Barlow played one game on loan for Morecambe in the 1989/90 season in a cup game at Christie Park v Emley.

He then went on to play in the PL for Everton of course before returning to Morecambe at the end of his career.

I think Ryan McGivern featured once for Man City after being on loan with us.

Michael Rose in pretty much the same position with Macclesfield today as he was with us last year. Two points the drop zone and ahead on GD, needing a point to all but guarantee safety on the last day of the season!
