A big jigsaw to sort out

Kev & Devitt will be competing with Molyneux & Barkhuizen for 2 "wide" positions on the pitch IMO. However, we know that Jim likes his players who can play in numerous positions so I also see Kev & Barkhuizen as options for up front and Devitt can also play "in the hole" on even in a midfield 3 if needed.

Beeley & Wilson will still be expected to provide width in whatever system we play.

Molyneux is also happy to sit in just behind the striker. Plenty of options :D

Bear in mind that we have Devitt, Kev, Molyneux and Barkhuizen as senior players competing for the two wide positions in the front three so really we only have the central sole striker position to worry about. I think this is a chance for Mullin to shine. I would just pick up another strong striker on a free on the wages freed up from Jack leaving and go into the season with that. In hindsight, I'd have kept podge who tried hard and was a decent finisher but he was only ever a decent, solid sort of player - not the end of the world.

Let's see how much more football he gets to play down there

Ryan Williams payed a half behind closed doors against Spurs and played 13 minutes against Stoke City where he had a free kick deflected over.

and I imagine if he has done well so far then he will play again in the next game ?
Do we not want young players to move on and do well, seems like everyone just wants to see Ryan fail ?Good luck to him, I hope him and Jack both go on to bigger and better things and prove how capable they really are.
