Hope he does. Still a good manager despite results suggesting otherwise but he's had bad luck in that the Chairman of his clubs wanted instant success.

Peter was Chairman for five years before he sacked Jim. That's hardly wanting "instant success"!!!

Alty fans are happy with the appointment to say the least !

I did wonder at first how it would go down with them as Jim had a very dodgy spell in charge of their local rivals, Stalybridge Celtic.

A change of management at Tranmere may be problematic for us in regards to Cole Stockton. The new manager may want him back!

Yes indeed. Griff took him on trial from somewhere in local Liverpool League I think?

He didn't impress (he was overweight back then!!!) and signed for Runcorn.
