O/T Buying a new TV

After 14 years of dutiful service my mammoth old Toshiba tube set has watched its last ever programme (actually Bee DVD for the little un). I now face the prospect of buying a new one fit for the modern age and basically haven't a clue. I've got BT Vision, which worked well on the old box. I've also got wireless broadband.

Any ideas?

John Lewis are well worth considering - top class advice and a 5 year warantee that when you price up elsewhere means its better than you get on line as you usually only get manufacturers guarantee and apparently these flat screens dont mend too easily when broke! :?: so the total package come up good

Panasonic was the one WHICH advised when I bought about 18 months and if you want a TV for watching rather than living in front of I don't think you can go far wrong.

Richer sounds also do some good deals
