So after all the signings and the start of the season looming, not many friendlies seen to judge but what would you starting 11 be based on our CURRENT squad. Might as well start these now and take our minds off the worries about the new stadium.

Roche

Parrish Jimbo/McCready Haining wilson

hunter fleming stanley/drummy rundle

duffy
Jevons

May have mixed some of the new names positions up, but thats how I see us playing at home anyway or something similar? Obviously everyone has their own opinions but the starting 11 is going to be very strong this year no matter who sammy pics!!!

That is a good call as a starter and you've already mentioned 13. Are you saying Jim will start if fit? He will be doing his all to lead them out at the Globe the week after. I think anybody who can predict the starting 11, in the right positions, should get a prize!

All you have to do is add Moss, Scott, Mullin, Spencer and Wainwright into the mix

Oh and this is a message before anyone does it.

Anyone who leaves Stanners out is mental, he is the main man!

I think Parrish has got to play centre back. But Scott doesn't want to play right back so that leaves Moss. In a way it's a good thing SM has some options.

Will Jimbo be match fit having not featured in any games to date?

Let's hope so.

For Wycombe

Roche
Parrish McCreary/Haining Scott Wilson
Duffy Stanley (c) Fleming Rundle
Mullin Jevons

Bench - New Keeper, Bentley, Haining/McCreary, Drummond, Wainwright, Spencer, Hendrie if he signs.

Jimbo to start the Coventry game and lead us out in the first game at the Globe.

very tough choice with Bentley or McCready

but id just play Bentley to start off with just for a few games to organize things(new players) and because he will fire into anybody who's not pulling there weight or committed to the cause.

He would be the first name on my team sheet, however he cannot be fit enough to start the first few games. Also if anyone's got an attitude problem, I'm sure our man will be the first to clear that up.

just because Jimbo has not played in some of these friendly's dosnt mean he is not fit or in Sammy's plans in the coming weeks(he as played some in doors ones)

Sammy as mainly used some of them games to see new players and try different things out
and already knows what Bentley can do

I agree with the second part of your post, but you can't go straight into the rough and tumble of being a League 2 centre back after no pre-season.

I saw at Barrow the difference a few friendlies makes to your match sharpness, ie we had none! If Jimbo gets chucked in to start at Wycombe, unless he's fitter than we know, it unfortunately would be a depressing show at Adams Park.

We have signed quite a few players looking at all those starting 11's!
Jimbo to lead the team out against Coventry would be perfect!
Not so sure about Stanners being the 'main' man, he is a very good player but we have plenty of options now who could easily replcae him.
What's best about our squad now is noone can afford to be complacent about their place in the starting 11, couple of bad games and we have someone else who can come in.

Just as mental as leaveing Drummy out who last season was our top scorer if you take away the penalties. ;)

Im pretty sure Jevons still got more and even so, Mullin definitely scored more and he didn't take penalties.

My team would be the same as Harry's - with Haining definitely taking the starting position. I can't see us playing with just Jevons up front, he isnt that sort of player . It is very hard to decide the starting eleven especially but thats only a good thing.

I stand to get shot down but:
Last season, in the League, Jev scored 18 goals, 6 were penalties so 12 in open play. He also scored 1 in the FA Cup

Jevons 18 (1 FA Cup)
Mullin 12
Drummy 9
Artell 7
Duffy 4 (+1 FA Cup)
Curtis 4
Stanley 4
Jimbo 3
Wilson 3
Crainey 2
Hunter 2
Twissy 1 (+1 LC)
Hackney 1
Haining 1
Moss 1 (remember that!!!)
