This would be the replay after a 1-1 draw at Christie. From what i remember Neil Mclachlan scored the equaliser from a twice taken penalty

That's the one mate.

And the replay nearly didn't happen as the club were absolutely on the bones of their ar$ese at the time and there was some sort of dispute on the team coach on the way over to Rotherham where the players threatened to refuse to play.

In the end, of course, the situation was resolved and we went on to lose, 0-2.

Two ex Carnforth Rangers players in the side that day too (shows how far we have come) in Graham Byram and Neil McLachlan

After these 2 matches did Rotherham not put a bid in for Graham Byram only for us to price him out of the move? Then when he left Morecambe he ended up playing for Gretna, Penrith and Lancaster.

Not sure if Graham played for Mayfield in the Sunday league while he was at Carnforth, i know his brother did.

Never heard about Byro possibly moving to Rotherham Richard, no, but it could be true of course.

He did of course return to play for Billy "Bunter" Wright's struggling Morecambe side in the 1988/89 season.

Top keeper, top bloke. Used to see him around quite regularly, but not for a while now actually when I come to think of it.
