Jungle drums down this neck of the wood are saying the Shrews will be bringing about 700 fans up on Saturday based on the fact they took around 550 to Notts County last week. I personally think around 500-600 will be there. God I hope it isn't postponed this time after all that crap that season with Peters  I also hope we keep going until the bitter end as the Shrews have a habbit of scoring in the last 10 minutes :!:

I was thinking on saturday about the wind and those balloons!
Did anyone else think Roach wasnt too happy with them being in his area at the start of the game?
If its windy again and morecambe start at the same end as last week, why not blow the balloons up at half time and piss off Shrewsburys keeper instead??

looking at the forecast were going to need a few water tankers to take it all away, or we won't have a game :(

Just been looking at the shipping forecast which I can access through work and it says that there is some serious showers heading our way starting friday and continuing right through saturday.

I bet this game is either called off or abandonned during play

Lets not make any predictions for the match being called off or abandoned, we don't want to put any Salop fans off from travelling! Im sure with what happened last season with Gary Peters and the Darlington match at home too that the club will inspect the pitch early and if needs be will have the match postponed well before fans set off.
For now lets assume they are doing everything they can to have the match on and encourage as many as possible, both home and away to brave the conditions and turn up to shout for their team tomorrow.

23 mph winds from the north east tomorrow so the Balloons will be all over the pitch!

Maybe we should wait till half time to blow them up!

Don't worry you won't need to put people off from travelling up, they'll just look at the weather :!: It has hardly stopped raining in Shrewsbury for the last few days apart from a few hours yesterday afternoon. Currently: Wind, Rain, Grey + Miserable :( :( :( Hope the pitch inspection is early. Whats the weather doing today up there?

Raining. only lightly at the mo though. heavier rain is expected this aft and heavy showers tomorrow.
As long as there isn't a prolonged deluge tomorrow I think we will be alright.

Just hope this lot doesn't pass up there then because there is alot of surface flooding here. Its that horrible windy fine stuff. Certainly enough here to cancel games unless you have very good drainage. This could put off alot from travelling unless it brightens up a little, which I doubt very much.

I do not think there will be a problem with our pitch tomorrow. Running through the BBC weather for the North West it gives light/steady rain today, finishing at about 9:00pm tonight, which I think the pitch drainage will cope with. The forecast then gives us NO RAIN through the night, 'cept maybe a tweek of dampness around 4:00am - then NO RAIN tomorrow and even forecasts sunshine around mid-day 8-) .

Remember last season, a game was abandoned because of too much rain after about 35 minutes!

It's like when a match is summerised in two or three words - it's too general to be of any use and misses the detail of what actually happens. It will be fine tomorrow.

That was the Darlo match;

But it was really heavy persistant rain for the hour leading upto the match that caused the problem, the pitch was just suddenly inundated with water in a short space of time. There was a strip on the Main stand side where they could have had a game of water polo

Im sure tomorrow will be fine so any Shrews worrying about the weather - don't! and get yourselves down to Christie.

That's the positive message we have to give. It's going to be fine tomorrow.
