Personally I think a match against a team that more closely matches our own playing style will suit us. We were architects of our own downfall in both previous matches in the group stages, but the Algerians in particular were technically superior.
Some are dead and some are living. In my life, I've loved them all.

Start with Defoe and Crouch up front and Rooney on at 60mins, then we may stand a chance........ otherwise it's penalties and on the homebound plane we go!

Lets hope Ozil (sp) get injured in training.

We have only won one game and that was only 1v0 in a poor group.

I am very worried how we will cope against better teams and how we will handle the front three of Ozil, Podolski and Klose.

I just hope he doesn't bring Heskey back and try to be deffensive and contain the Germans the whole reason our style and pace was better was because we didn't play with a big man and lump long balls up to them.

However Germany haven't been that convincing yet so it could be a very close game 1v1 and pens wouldn't supprise me.

Must say I think the USA deserved to be top they were robbed the other when they were dissalowed a perfctly good goal and going forward have show a lot more than we have.

What a tit. He must realise that this sort of thing is never a good idea and that it can come back and bite you.

Which is why Germany lost to Serbia!!!

I can't think of anything else to knock them for, so i'll suggest they are 'burnt out' when clearly they aren't!

Playing most of the game with 10 men was possibly also a contributing factor.

I actually thinks it's a pretty fair assesment from Beckenbauer, I don't understand the hysteria it seems to cause - even on the BBC website - and all he's doing is expressing his view when asked.
If it was a former England great saying those things, most of us would be nodding in agreement.

I'm gonna be optomistic and say when we played Germany in Italia 90 there goal was a complete fluke cos it deflected off Parker's ass! There keeper made some really good saves and they should have had a man sent off!
