First half, pants - second half, vintage Morecambe

Don't know what the Oldham report was about.
Sure they absolutely hammered us in the first half. Roache (under pressure after some dodgepot keeping) was incredible though. In truth we were bloody awful. As bad as i've seen during this poor run, all 6 months of it!
Half time was a low ebb. We were a shambles out there. But credit to Sammy for shaking things up. Cause in the second period we matched them throughout. Suddenly we were playing it to feet and the movement up front was superb. This was the old Morecambe and we never gave up, defended magnificently and always looked a threat on the break.
Oldham fielded a strong side and were very classy. Should do well in League 1 this season. So to match them in the second half was a tremendous effort. This game was spot on for us as it allowed players to get into form without the pressure of League points.
It will all count for nowt if we flop again against Shrewsbury though. But at least we saw the old Morecambe spirit come back in the second half. Drummie's pen was hilariously bad though and he should get stick off the lads for it at training. But who cares - we've won a bloody game at last!
