I co run this forum and we've created it not to put you out of business or anything but to just show our support for Morecambe and I would appreciate any of you that join. I will still post on here and it's a nice site, just wanted something of our own if you know what I mean.

Obviously not or you wouldn't be asking. If you wanted to show support for something, you would set up a web site. Setting up a forum on the same topic as one already exists, well, that's not exactly being supportive.

However I will be joining it later, if only to see if I can push the libel boundaries as far as I used to on here

Jack, you will not succeed with sites dotted around the web, a forum here, a blog there. You need a proper web site, as Keith, myselF and others have where all is in one place.

It was only created yesterday, so we have only just got it going

Good luck but as you are using a forum host rather than your own web site, such as ttpics, it may not be as easy as you think. When I get back to my laptop (watching 3 international wpmens volleyball teams have a food fight at the moment), I will post some links to an example site.

OK, check out the link in my signature. It's a very personal site which I update as and when I feel like it. What I like about it is it is all in one place. It's also a launch for a forum I have installed (read the forum post to see why I set it up). Blog, Contact page, About and links to my online photos, all in one place. Even a local news page taking RSS feeds from various sites.

If you're serious about succeeding then you need to start with something like that, first base, somewhere surfers can click to go to the various sites you have set up. Or preferably to pages within one site.

I wouldn't be saying this if you had just set up a forum. For example, there's already several Morecambe forums but you find far less Morecambe chat on there than you find general Morecambe chat on Shrimpsvoices. Possibly because SV has a heart, Morecambe FC, which attracts local interest and leads to non-football local conversations.

(I've been known on the forums as Gnasher and Phoenix and ran the first forum that wasn't based on a generic forum site purely because I hated the advertising balloons that floated across the screens. That was quite a few years ago.)

US$108 per year including lots of easily and freely installable software. Where ttpics is hosted so if you think this forum is fairly stable, you know what service you'll get.

Personally I love this forum and believe sticking with this one suits, you could always help with the shrimpsvoices costings makes sence to me rather than set up a new forum?

Just my opinion of course!!
