Not surprised, they were already moving mobile offices in on Friday afternoon!

Sad, but it is theirs to do what they want with now!

I have to say that all sounds a little painful even from this distance. Maybe just don't watch?

I hope you all soon have some great memories of the new ground to compensate.

Your right , it is painful especially for those of us who used to come in the NPL days when the crowd was 200.

Part of me wanted to stay at Christie and develop it like you are doing at Victoria Road.

But the advantage of moving is the extra revenue streams and also we get a state of the art FA standard training pitch right next to the ground meaning the team have somewhere of our own to train. This is a great selling point when trying to sign decent players.

It's heartbreaking!!

Just been past the ground on my way home from work. The away stand is on it's way to being dismantled.

I've been going to Christie Park for well over 40 years, man and boy, and it's all terribly sad. I'm 100% behind the move, nevertheless it hurts to see the old ground rapidly disappearing.

:(

Part of me wants to go and watch.

Sounds really sad but I really believe that I might shed a tear.

looks like th eauction cleare dout everything
Rod was saying after today its all sainsburys
i dont think i want to go back and look again
look forwards now not backwards
end of an era................

Few photos taken this evening. It's weird there being no life in the place; the only noise was a leaking pipe in one of the corners!

Did nobody buy the old crest or was it not up for sale?

Seems a pity not to keep it as a reminder of the old place.

I am reliably informed that 2 men have spent the last 2 days using cherry pickers to remove the south stand roof and this afternoon the concrete terracing of the north stand is being taken out

Most definitely, the north stand is going nowhere and having had an explanation why, I fully understand.

The north stand is no more, it is deceased, it is no longer of this planet. It is going nowhere, not even Accy.

My understanding is that a deal with a Rugby club was almost done, but then a problem with the insurance arose and the policy cost was too high to make it a viable exercise.
