I see Barrow are playing Blackburn and Man. City at the end of July. Anybody think it will be one of these 2 we will be playing around the same time?

Playing one would be ok,
rather than playing both of them at once, like Barrow.
Still i suppose it'll get the friendlies out of the way quicker.

Man City are doing a USA Tour in pre season so won't be many stars I shouldn't imagine.

According to that link an 'unnamed premiership side' will be visiting the globe a couple of days before PNE, although the lillywhites fixture will mark the official opening. Do you think they have been told not to say who it is? Or is it that they are still coming to terms with Blackpool being a premier league team these days? Seaside!!!

City will be sending fringe players, but at least 1st teamers (or about as regular as it gets there) are not travelling to the US) so there may well be a couple of surprises.

UPDATE:

Bolton Wednesday 28th July

Preston Saturday 31st July

Man City. Tuesday 3rd August

These are showcase fixtures, although probably against weaker squads, certainly in Man. City's case.

I am very pleased with this but also hope we can squeeze in a couple against "lower" opposition. Or maybe the thought is they are not good enough to play on our new grass!

Preston and Bolton will bring full strength squads Mark no reason for them not to as Burnley Huddersfield and Plymouth did last season

City i think will be a mixture though imho but we shall see!!

I'm sure the reserves will get a run out at the usual places
