Head to head

• These clubs have met each other on 24 occasions in Conference, Conference play-off and League Two encounters, and there is nothing to choose between them.

• Each club has won nine, with six drawn.

• Morecambe had the better of this season's league clashes with a 1-0 home win in April, following a 1-1 draw in East London in September.

Dagenham & Redbridge

• Finished in seventh spot, the lowest placed of the play-off clubs, one point inferior to Morecambe.

• Won four of their last five, including the last two.

• Collected 15 points out of 15 at home since defeat by Rotherham on 13 March.

• Beat Morecambe in the semi-finals of the Conference play-offs in 2003, and went on to lose to Doncaster in the final.

• John Still was in charge of the Barnet side that lost Division Three play-off semi-finals to Colchester in 1998 and Peterborough in 2000.

• The club finishing as low as four places below the automatic promotion spots has gone on to win promotion to the third tier only once; Blackpool in 2001.

Morecambe

• Finished in fourth place, nine points outside the top three automatic promotion places.

• Scored 73 goals in the regular league season, making them the top scorers of the four clubs in these play-offs. Also conceded 64 goals, giving them the weakest defence of the quartet.

• Won seven of their last nine, including the last three to end the campaign in their highest position of the entire season.

• Lost in the Conference play-off semi-finals to Dagenham in 2003, and to Hereford in 2006, but gained entry to League Two via this route in 2007, when Exeter were defeated in the final.

• Sammy McIlroy was at the helm when Morecambe were going through those play-off experiences in 2006 and 2007.

• The club finishing immediately below the automatic promotion places has gone up through the play-offs in 12 of the 19 years since the current format came into being. Stockport were the most recent two years ago.
