eey, my first PC was a 486. I'd hung back from buying a 386 because I knew the 486 would be affordable. It came with Encarta, an encyclopaedia that actually had MOVING PICTURES! How cool was THAT??? We actually had a phone line installed just so that we could go on the internet using the 16 kbps MODEM... oh how we celebrated with a street party when we were able to upgrade to a 32 kbps MODEM (MOdulate DEModulate in case you care)

Oh my god, HOW OLD AM I??? :o  :?

Coincidentally, it's also the first three digits of my work phone.

My 1st PC was a 286, with a whopping 20 Mb harddrive, yes read you've it right 20 Mb, I sold my Amiga to get it, ace I thought, no more swapping floppy disks back, and forward.

No GUI enviroment for me, just the brutality of MS-DOS, by eck life was tough back in those days....
