I hadn't got anywhere in mind as I was going to try and map out where people were and take it from there (and hoping that they're definitely showing it wherever we choose). Any suggestions welcome.

Seems there are more Newcastle-based Shrimps fans than I thought!

Wish there were more Pompey based fans.
Doris can't make it on Sunday.
So I've got to amuse myself on the train, and get my own beer.
Still, it'll be a less expensive day out without her 8-)

If either of you (Marky or Dan) are going to the home game next Thursday, give me a shout as I'll be driving there and back. Just a thought if it could save people some cash for the longer trip to Wembley!

Perhaps we could make a 'Geordie Exiles' supporters' group!!! That could be a first for Morecambe, unless there's one I don't know about....

There are a few, Peter. We met them at the pub near the roundabout when we played at Wolves.

for the georgie shrimp contingent

i'm actually struggling to think of a good footy pub with decent ale!

there's plenty of decent pubs in newcastle but the ones i like going to don't tend to have the footy on (i think). i'm thinking of the Forth, Bacchus (i think it's called, the one near popolos) head of steam etc. centurion defo has big screen and good ale, but is a bit pricey.

any thoughts?

I'm also racking my brain.

Those who tend to show the footy also have music on and are reluctant to turn it off, which can be annoying. Possibly the Waterline on the quayside, but not sure they have good ale on offer...

i'm not an ale fascist so i will budge on that for the sake of watching the game!

is the waterline that biggish place round a courtyard under the swing bridge?

There are a couple of half decent boozers in gosforth (county?) as well.

Yeah I don't mind going to the county if that's easier for you. Not actually been in it yet, but always seems full when I've driven past. We'll just have to see if we can recruit some more converts (if only for the week!)

I live in Sunderland, but might come through to Newcastle to watch the game.

Not sure if theres many pubs that will put the game on for us, but thinking Luckies near Haymarket, The Telegraph (can't remember if they have a screen), Enigma (near the entrance to the Swan House car park) or if we're struggling there is always The Lodge (which I think still has the table tv's you can control), The Lounge or the new Lloyds bar.

Some ideas anyway - I'll post back on here if I can make it through

my current plan is to pop to queen vic (big refurbed pub on crossroads in gosforth) around noon to see if they've got sky. Otherwise i'll just have a bit of a mission! I'll pm you my mobile, if you get this messag in time let me know how you are getting on finding somewhere!
