I cannot wait to meet those legends, it's going to be immense. personaly I'm most looking forward to meeting Ian Cain, he is without doubt the reason I became a morecambe supporter as a teenager and I've never met him.

Ian Cain is rightly a legend, and is a thoroughly decent bloke, hope you get to meet him!

The one name who should be on top of that list will be missing. I understand the reasons why he will not be there, but I just hope that he was at the very least invited.

He's as much responsible for our history and where we are today as other ex memebers of staff.

Maybe not there in person, but certainly not forgotten.

Wouldn't it be fitting if we meet Bury in the play-offs, so that a certain Danny Carlton plays in what would be the last game at CP, just as long as he doesn't score the winner this time!!!

He was sacked. Why would we invite someone to such an event when we removed them from their position? Why would he even want to come?

Yes, the more successful one out of the two! Appeared as a sub at Wembley as well!

Having personally stayed in touch with Cainy, he can't wait to come back and see everyone...although the curly barnet may have gone, the windy left-winging runs have never left our minds!

Not being disrespectful here Neil but are you referring to Harvey or Coleman? Or both?

I'm hoping that the players will do a lap of the pitch and/or be individually announced allowing a window of opportunity for that player's song. 'When the ball hits the goal...' I've been singing it all morning.

Six foot two, eyes of blue, Geoffrey Street is after you, nah nah, nah nah, na nah na, nah nah.

Russ Perkins fan club (anyone else remember that. Don't reply if you're aged under 48ish)? Think it was formed after he scored that screamer of an equaliser against Wigan in the quarter final of the Trophy in 1973ish (BC).

Members of the Trophy winning team, members of the Unibond promotion team, Conference play off winners (Will Kevin Dillon let Blackie join in)?.

It's going to be a hell of an emotional day one way or another. I'm welling up already!

Thought about that and with over 60 former Shrimps attending it would need to start around 1.30! Would be embarrasing for the Players that didnt have a specific song or most people dont remember. I think the average crowd in Unibond days was around 400?

They will be individually announced but I dont think the window of opportunity will present itself.
